Good Points: Return of real punk rock

General comments: For a band with only two members, 2ND (2ndtheband.com) doesn't lose any of their heaviness. In fact, they bruise the flesh more than full groups twice their size. Much of it has to do with focus. Singer/guitarist Jason Morse and drummer Dave Foreman do their parts exceptionally well, lighting up the songs with tremendous energy and heavy-metal strength.

Although the garage-rock movement has been played out too much with groups like the Hives, the Vines, the Strokes, etc., 2ND are more raw. They also combine grunge's industrial pow with the mean-spirited edges of prime underground rock.
