It used to be good when the gym fee is usage based - going to the gym regularly, i.e. on average twice a week would mean paying the "regular user" gym membership fee - in my case it was 15 pounds a month. This was a really good incentive to make sure I do go to the gym regularly.
Now they have chang ...

Having realised that some people use the gym dishonestly, a cap on the number of times you can go was introduced. This essentially limits you to reach the maximum allowable number of points and go beyond your status (bronze, silver...) to obtain cheaper prices.
Secondly, the fact that Vitality poin ...

I attempted to make a claim today and was told that it could take up to 2 weeks to authorize! You have to take a letter that they send to you to your doctor who then has to complete it confirming that its not pre-existing etc. The doctors send it back and then Pruhealth underwriters have to look at ...

I joined because of the discount on joining a gym, and wish I hadn't. I've spent over 10 hours on the phone with them trying to sort out a direct debit. Every month for the last 3 months they've made a mistake with the direct debit, twice after I've conference called in a representative of my bank ...

PruHealth may be very good if in fact you're healthy - but they are a bit difficult when it comes to paying for treatment that you actually need.I seriously recommend you consider another health insurance provider.

I never considered taking out health insurance until my business partner got sick. He was off work for nearly 3 months, and as decorators that nearly ruined the company. We got Pru Health as we can keep the payments low, and can get treatment really quickly if we need it.
My partner waited ages f ...

Pru Health have massivlely subsidised my gym membership, I used to pay nearly £100 a month on the Holmes Place near my work, and now I pay £25 a month, bargain!!
I like the people at the call centre and I'm on track to get 100% of my premium back this year!!!

Pru Health are the only health insurance company I could find that allow me to take control of my premiums.
I always try too stay healthy, but with the incentive of saving money I've made more of an effort.
So far I'm due to save 50% next year, just by doing things like walking the dog and eat ...

I love the way Pru health allow you to take control of your premiums and reward you for making efforts to be healthy. Like everyone, I always try harder to be healthier, and saving money is a great incentive! Just by doing things like walking the dog and reading health articles online I will save 50 ...

Pru Health were the only insurer I found that covers Cancer treatment on all of their plans. The plan I chose also has no restrictions on the amount I can claim for most treatments. Even though I smoke and am overweight, I still expect to save £350 pounds on next year's premium just by not cla ...
