Pru Health has a unuserfriendly website, poorly in registering vitality points which determine how much your gym membership is. I lost my Non-smoker points simply because I have registered it at the correct section of their website!!
Like most insurance companies, there are always many conditions w ...

Looks good when you first read about Pru Health. I have had nothing but trouble with them when you want to do anything, with advisors telling you what you want to hear rather than doing what you want them to do.

I have been with PruHealth since may 06. Originally I got the cover through my job so wasn't paying for the cover. Because I stayed healthy at the end of the year they issue me with a cash back cheque for £100, (actually they issued it twice so I got £200) good times. The trouble star ...

I cannot recommend Pru Health, health insurance as for it was a terrible experience. In principle the scheme is good but they have not kept up to date with points I am currently earning and Im losing out on cheaper Eurostar tickets and Nectar points. I reviewed on the 13th December and commented on ...

The Pru health principle is really great and could be a real cost-saving for me as a relatively healthy and active individual.
However, the implementation is terrible - it has taken weeks to get some of my points allocated and I've had to chase several times - for instance, it took 6 weeks for my Fi ...

It used to be good when the gym fee is usage based - going to the gym regularly, i.e. on average twice a week would mean paying the "regular user" gym membership fee - in my case it was 15 pounds a month. This was a really good incentive to make sure I do go to the gym regularly.
    Now they have chang ...

Having realised that some people use the gym dishonestly, a cap on the number of times you can go was introduced. This essentially limits you to reach the maximum allowable number of points and go beyond your status (bronze, silver...) to obtain cheaper prices.
Secondly, the fact that Vitality poin ...

I attempted to make a claim today and was told that it could take up to 2 weeks to authorize! You have to take a letter that they send to you to your doctor who then has to complete it confirming that its not pre-existing etc. The doctors send it back and then Pruhealth underwriters have to look at ...

I joined because of the discount on joining a gym, and wish I hadn't. I've spent over 10 hours on the phone with them trying to sort out a direct debit. Every month for the last 3 months they've made a mistake with the direct debit, twice after I've conference called in a representative of my bank ...
