I applied for two Caxton fx dollar cards on one account on 24 September and got an acknowledgement of acceptance the same day.
Today 12 October (19 days later) I still haven't got my cards. I sent an email 9 days ago to chase up and have been exchanging emails since. The person on Customer Services ...

In principle, the Caxton card is great; excellent exchange rates, no charges for using at ATMs or for card payments. However the promise is let down by poor customer service and technological problems.

On numerous occasions now I have found myself in a situation abroad where I want to check my bal ...

I purchased euros for a property in France and from the time I 'booked' the deal and sent them the money, to the time the eu ...

In principle a very good idea and a real boon for travellers. Rates are great and lack of charges very appealing.
Seems a good idea but try the alternative providers just to be sure.

Internet facility not very user-friendly (can't download transactions). Not fully confident about their security procedures. I only had my card for 2 months, and had two alleged fraudulent transactions posted. They froze the account pending an investigation (which is fair enough), but wouldn't refun ...

You load the Caxton card from a uk bank card at a given rate. You then spend at shops etc in euros. Simple. The rate you have loaded at is fixed so it's not a blind gamble every time you use the card, unlike Visa or Mastercard credit cards.
Overall, I am very happy with the card
