Bought it to replace a different make that became unusable when the Freeview system was updated. Has worked fairly well for a couple of years or more. Since the new allocation of channels came in it keeps losing all channels except 1 - 9. It is (was) used with a Philips flat screen TV, and the contr ...

Thirty-three quid in Tesco's - the cheapest I found anywhere PLUS the advantage of Tesco's no-quibble guarantee and returns policy.

This Philips DTR200 does the job and does it well. I feel the negative comments about it on this board result from aerial/signal strength problems as especially the BB ...

Personally not happy with the Philips DTR200 freeview box. We bought it to upgrade from an old box we had that pixalated occasionally so the aerial and set-up were already proven. The Philips box was nowhere near as good as the old thing we had. Simply do not recommend it.

Philips DTR200 Freeview box review - I have rated Philips products for 30 years, they have been very good, but no more, this is rubbish, and if this is the way forward then Philips should give it up and call it a day. I had my heart set on a Philips LCD TV but not now. I guess it will be Sony.

Locks up once or twice a day and doesn't respond to remote. Have to unplug to reset. Picture constantly disappears from screen taking 5 or so seconds to come back on. This is nothing to do with reception and happens sometimes once every 10 seconds making viewing impossible.Remote interferes with my ...

First box - after 24 hours started freezing and breaking up - 100% signal strength - took it back to Currys - told me there were no known problems!!! Gave me a second box - lasted 2 hours before breaking up with 100% signal strength. Changed from Sagem - good so far.

My DTR220 unit has an amazing fault whereby, if I am recording anything overnight, it is determined to ask me (at about 3 a.nm.) whether I wish to apply the latest software upgrade (even if I have done that manually before I set up the recording) and THEN, to add to the craziness of this situation ...
