Overall nice sound, with wonderful low notes and well tuned upper notes. Very free blowing and open to personal interpretation. The unstained finish adds a nice touch as it displays the true beauty of the wood grain in a deep brown. The tenons are strong and sturdy.

The Yamaha YCL650 Clarinet has amazing tone, and good response in all registers. Upgraded from the YCL-250, and I must say Yamaha never fails to deliver the perfect balance between quality and value.

The Yamaha YCL650 is a fantastic clarinet! After using a Yamaha beginner clarinet, this YCL650 was amazing to play! It is very easy to play and produces a beautiful rich sound.
