like many previous posters mine too broke down after 2 years, phoned hotpoint to make use of the free 5 years spare parts warranty that came with it, they said the labour would cost 159.99 spread over 10 months, if they cant fix it then they would replace it. went for this option, couldnt be repaire ...

i have the FFA74P fridge freezer. The bulb went in the fridge compartment, I replaced it with a correct lamp which may have been faulty as it blew. Was reasonably pleased with this Hotpoint FFA74 model when I bought it two years ago. I can only get so excited about a fridge freezer! The Hotpoint FFA74 made me vow to NEVER purchase anything from Hotpoint again, they used to be a good company! I feel there is now no thought to the end user, Their Aquarius Washer/Dryer is just as bad broke down 2 months before the freezer!Both lasted just 2 years URGHH!!!!
