I agree with most of the other reviews, this is the a poor DIY product. Despite scraping off the high points on the tiny Artex ceiling of our downstairs loo, it hardly covered. I cannot see the difference between this product and badly mixed, sloppy Polyfilla. If anyone were to suggest that you smoo ...

the adverts are a complete lie. like others I found the roller and smoothing tool useless and a complete rip off. Same applies to the actual product. Glad I took up the carpet first. Total waste of time and money.

Cannot help but agree with all comments. It's a rubbish product and I feel stupid having been suckered by the marketing hype. I wish I had found these reviews before I started. I have just coated one wall and half of the floor. The roller is not suitable for the task and the product is too runny ...

I am a keen DIYer and have always trusted the Polycell brand...no more. This product is the worst decorative material that I have ever bought.I am on my third coat and it's just as well I bought the big tub as most of the product has landed on the floor. The marketing suggests that ordinary people can ...

Thank goodness I've read these reviews - I now feel so much better about my abject failure with this terrible product. I only wish I'd realised before I wasted my money.

The roller is hopeless, and picks up far too much product. You'll end up with dollops of it all over the floor.

    This is the wors ...

I only wish I has read these revies first - what a waste of time and money. Our wall is worse than when we started.
Polycell SmoothOver Textured Walls & Ceilings is hard to apply, impossible to smooth over, and should be withdrawn from the market

I used Smooth Over to repair walls after I had removed wallpaper. I found it very good. Basically the best tip I can offer is to apply the smooth over quickly and confidently. Dont worry about tram lines or slight imperfections - simply sand them out later. If you spend too much time re applying in ...

Oh how I wish I had read these reviews before I tried Polycell SmoothOver Textured Walls & Ceilings. It is utter rubbish. Having just installed a new kitchen, bedroom and bathroom I consider myself a fairly competent DIYer. My big mistake was deciding to smooth over the bathroom ceiling 'AFTER' I ha ...
