    If I had known at the time of purchasing that it was as unreliable and temperamental with DVD+R and DVD-R I would not have purchased it.

    There wasn't any information in the manual regarding playing -R and +R media.

    No problems when playing glass mastered DVD.

    I went to use my Bush PDVD-1000 DVD player last week and the adaptor decided not to work. I cannot charge the battery or watch a DVD. Does anyone know where I can get a new one? It's not been dropped or taken apart, so I am not sure what's wrong with it.

    The Bush PDVD-1000 has a few minor flaws like the screen being offset but overall is a good product.

    I thought this Bush PDVD1000 portable dvd player was superb value for money until it literally blew up in the middle of LOTR The Two Towers extended edition! There was a flash, a crackle, a fizz, and it died before my eyes!

    Argos replaced it immediately and I've (touch wood) had no problems with ...

    The Bush PDVD1000 is very portable with great quality for its size and entertaining for long train/tube rides. Sound quality is ok. New product so obviously is a tad pricey. £399.99 www.innovations.co.uk

    After giving about 2 years of reasonable service my Bush DVD1000 dvd player stopped opening the DVD drawer. Investigations are on-going but it looks like the PSU. To be fair, the problems listed may have been due to a longstanding PSU problem.

    The Bush DVD1000 DVD player is very small, light and has never failed to play any brand of disk in any format, brilliant.
