Everything about this kit is wicked good for a beginner kit. I've played some pro kits and i can still get a better sound out of my tama rockstar. all you need is some quality heads and good tuning and your good to go. definitely THE kit to start out with.

The Tama Rockstar Custom is a great kit. Flexible tom adjustments, fantastic mounting system & colour finishing... ask Dave Grohl!!!

I've been playing 40 years and find the cost commitment for drum kits hard to go around when switching kits. The Tama Rockstar Custom drum kit is very road worthy, well built and easy to set-up.

This is my first kit but I have to say that the ease of setting up tuning and quality make this kit an overall joy to play.
