I bought this gun second hand complete with original box and instructions and although overall i like this gun it does have a few quirks.
The safety catch is on the wrong side and can't be easily released once you are ready to shoot.

I love the BSA 240. I cherished an HW45 for many years but it was just too big and heavy for my hands. The 240 is about half a kg lighter and that makes a considerable difference. The accuracy and consistency is just as good as the top-rated HW45.

The 240 is one of my favorite pistols. The pistol is accurate. I can hit a 1 1/2 inch field target kill zone from 25 yards. Practice is required to shoot the 240 accurately. I've had no mechanical problems. A friend of mine had to return two 240s because the "T" shaped barrel latch broke on each ...
