They should rename my Sony DVP-S560D the "c13:00" because that's all it plays. A very disappointing and expensive mistake; trusting them to make a dvd player that actually works.

I guess I've been luckier than the rest of these folks, my unit lasted 4 years before it started giving me the C:13:00 error. I used advice I found out about the "hidden menu" and it took care of it for a while. Now 2 years later I'm getting it again and also the "insert disc" error even when it has ...

I have used this player a lot, I was under the impression that it played mpegs and other video formats, I have not had any luck playing anything but DVD's. All in all for the price and reliability, or lack of, I would not buy this unit again.

I've been had like so many others entrusting in the Sony name. Player worked great while it was working. It does get hot really fast, Even while only playing one movie. Problems started in the begining with the freezing of frames towards the end of the DVD and eventually moving into the notorious "N ...

I bought a whole sony set up for dvd and surround sound to ensure it would work together fine with one remote. it didn't. Then the Sony DVP S560D dvd player began to skip chapters, restart dvds in the middle of a movie, couldn't identify a dvd was in the tray, produced error code 13, a number of o ...

I'll never buy Sony again ... nothing. No TVs. No receivers. No CD players. Not even a blank disc from them. They screwed me and enjoyed it. The Sony DVP S560D DVD Player gives you random but frequent and frustrating C:13 or "no disc" errors on perfectly-good discs. In fact, they play sometimes ... ...

The Sony DVP S560D was great till it started acting up after about 2 years of use. DVD's would freeze, skip, restart, etc, came online to find some answers. After reading a review that turning the display (dimmer) off helped, I decided to check it out. Turning off the display (dimmer) did nothing. H ...

Horrible machine!!! I thought my wife had some setting wrong on the Sony DVP S560D about 6 months ago when that evil "c13" and "No disk" response came back to me. It caused a couple of good fights- thanks SONY! Pathetic company- no response whatsoever except- Warranty still good? Piece of crud c ...

Overall, I am pleased with the Sony DVP S560D DVD player. I had hoped it would last longer, but I suppose, as they say, good things don't last forever. Problem I am facing is the DVP S560 supported Dolby 5.1. All speaker cables were fed into the ports in the back of the unit. I noticed many of th ...

My friends and family used to get a kick out of how I'd grumble at this DVD player because it wouldn't eject the DVD disk reliably. Alternately, I would have to insert a disk a few times before it would recognize the disk had been inserted. I've had the silly thing for over two years now, and it h ...
