    Very disappointing how it just packed up but from what I hear it's an all too common issue with this machine. Just stopped playing any DVDs whatsoever, changed region code and it made no difference. (To change code go to 'Preference Settings' in your system menu, then just type in the numbers 1, 3, ...

    What more could you want from a good make like Philips at such a low price of around £30 or less

    I just wondered if someone could help us out on this one. After trying to tune the Philips DVP-30005 DVD player into progressive scan mode, we lost the picture altogether, and we could not get it back no matter what we tried.
