    The ariston brand is awful. The machince broke down 6 times in one year. Trying to get it fixed was a nightmare.
    I DONOT RECOMMEND THIS BRAND.

    Generally, I would consider Ariston AL 109 as a fairly good machine. It uses a minimal amount of water and thus saves a lot on waters bills. However, the machine is not as quiet as before when it does the spin.

    We bought our Ariston AL109 nearly new but second hand. I can guess why they wanted rid, it's the most temperamental machine ever. We've had to replace the pump.     We bought an Ariston AL109 (Margerita 2000) in April, 2002. It was OK for a while (about 6 months) and then it broke down. Since then we've had it repaired 8 or 9 times. They've had to replace the drum and do other repairs to it, and on one occasion it was in the repairer's workshop for about 2 week ...
