    My husband and I had our third holiday to Dubai in September, and did 2 nights in the Burj al Arab, and 3 nights in Al Maha. Both completely different experiences and both superb.     Al Maha Desert Resort is definitely one of those "you have to go once in your life" experiences. Each of the 40 suites is totally self contained and (most are) surrounded by trees / bushes, so you have complete privacy to do whatever takes your fancy in your own pool...
