    I have had 2 Philips, one Toshiba and a Pioneer 220H model without HD, and the Pioneer DVR-520 is far superior. The Philips recorders froze for unknown reasons(Windows installed?), the Toshiba had a very complicated menu system and my 2 Pioneers have been easy to use and very capable. Pioneer has by ...

    This was my third machine after trying a Toshiba (chroma Shift Problems) and a JVC (sound sync problems). I have found this excellent and can't really offer any criticism.
