I have inherited this machine - and it came without a manual, so I am working blind and largely by experiment. I have always handmade my bread before, using an Aga, so the idea of using quick acting yeast instead of ordinary dried yeast is new to me. I have made several loaves which have collapsed a ...

Easy to use but indifferent results.Base of loaf always heavy and over-browned.top of loaf light and fluffy, like two totally different loaves. Tried different flours yeasts etc., similar results. Throw away bottom half of loaf and eat the top half!

Nice little machine the Morphy Richards 48268, but big drawback is the small loaf size. 1.5 pound loaf is the largest.
The mixing paddle is the devil to remove from the bottom of the loaf finally leaving a paddle shape hole into the first, second and third slice.
My machine burns the base and outs ...

Well, having read some of the other comments of this Morphy Richards 48268 breadmaker, it doesn't sound like I'm describing the same machine. Works flawlessly and produces delicious bread. Makes about as much noise as a dishwasher for 10 to 15 minutes at a time. I found it very easy to get the bread ...

I spoke to Morphy Richards about the pan issue on the 48268 who advised me that the pan is meant to jump out? What nonsense, if you don't re-insert the pan the machine makes a terrible noise and churns the pan around the interior. For this reason, I would not recommend this machine.

When I decided to buy a Morphy Richards 48268 Breadmaker I thought it would be hard to use, but its so easy. Step by step instructions and you just punch in your choices using the menu button. Makes great bread and loafs in under three hours. Best thing I ever bought.

I'm very satisfied with my morphy richards breadmaker. Easy to use, the controls were in English, reasonably quiet in operation. Produced very good results.

Broke after 2 months of use - no spare parts available. The problem is with the spindle in the loaf tin which holds the kneading paddle inside the tin, and on the outside connects with the drive mechanism of the machine itself. The spindle appears to be very prone to seizing up, and without warning, ...

    Very noisy when operating
Kneader brakes, leaving bits in the bread
Leaves a huge hole in the bread, so most of it is wasted
Does not look like a loaf - have bought a much cheaper breadmaker which produces loaves that look like a loaves of bread, yippee!
Poor and very uninterested aftercare, who ...
