    Look on GOOGLE for a Lens cap error search on the JVC GR-D23 digital camcorder! Many people have this problem, and JVC will not fix it for free like they should!     I bought this camera 17 months ago, and it has developed the infamous lens cap problem. i.e. when the unit is switched on, the display is blank, the lens cap warning blinks on, and it will not record video.     Video quality on the JVC GR-D23 is worse than bad. My old VHS C camera puts this piece of junk to shame. Doesn't cost very much, but every penny spent on this camera was wasted. Should have done my homework before wasting my money on this lemon.
