I'm glad I hadn't read all the reviews on PC Mover before buying it, because if I had, I would have avoided it like the plauge. Turns out I'm glad I used it and have recommended it to my friends. Had I read these comments first I would not have purchased it either!! But I transferred from Windows XP to Windows XP through the provided USB cable and it took just a little over an hour. My old pc had a 1.0 USB and the new one has a 2.0 USB and after I set up the provided drivers, everything work ...

I've just recommended Laplink PC Mover to an online acquaintance, I was then directed to these reviews here and given those I probably wouldn't have bought it. Just thought I ought to point out it does work for some people.

Wish I had read these reviews first. Laplink PC Mover had problems all the way. Finally froze during transfer after about 4 hours to get that far. From what I read I'm lucky the transfer didn't happen.
