    I liked the Philips HDD120 to start with, got 3000 tracks on it,and was able to work it ok, im no computer wizard.

    However, my computer does not recognize the hdd at all, even after rebooting, lost all content, its going in the bin as this is the second one.

    After 2 years my MP3Philips HDD120 ad a major software crash.
    The MP3 no longer knows what it is at all and I cannot recover files on it, some of which were important.
    I e-mailed phillips about it and they replied saying they could fix it for £160!!!! Yes, the files were important but not THA ...

    The Philips HDD120 was my first mp3 player and loved it, until i dropped it many times and finally the scratches finally made me buy a new mp3 player, creative zen mirco 4GB. Now i have the samsung ypk5j which is outstanding and i also have a archos 605 wifi 160GB! love all my mp3 players :D

    I've had the Philips HDD120 for about 3 years. It's worked alright as a music listening device, but the software is a train wreck next to just about any other program and the limiter on the maximum volume makes hearing many songs difficult in any noisy environment like the subway.     I have to say that the Philips HDD120 is a great MP3 player, and I would highly recommend it to anyone... But, I am having a lot of trouble charging my battery... :( I plug it in with the adapter when the MP3 is on, and to make sure it charges, I have to make sure it stays on for the next 4 hours, ...

    I really like the Philips HDD120 MP3 player. However, the main frustration is in transferring songs to it, which when you start from scratch takes days (I kid you not).

    After the trouble with the software (my fault I may add) the player seems O.K.
    I have used the Windows media player MyMusic file to load the tracks onto the HDDs software and this works well.
