I use Musicmatch 9.0 which, while not as intuitive as Sony's Easy Burner (I own a Sony minidisc player as well), is easy to use for transferring music files to/from my laptop to the Philips player. Bought this player in 2005 at Walmart Kunia for $200 which was one of the better players sold there at ...

It is unreliable. One day it would turn on and 80% of the time it doesn't turn on at all. It starts like this:-
a). First 20 days no issues.
b). One fine day the Philips HDD070 MP3 player freeze while playing a song and it wouldn't switch off. I found a way to hard reset it. This happens for few ...

Like so many other owners of this MP3 player. It would not turn on, and the screen would flash while charging, but it would not turn on. I sent it back to Philips within the warranty period, and they fixed it free of charge. Four months out of warranty the same thing happened to the Philips HDD070 M ...

The Philips HDD070 MP3 player is a fairly robust product, and it is good to the eye. Unfortunately, I didn't take out the extended warranty - a big mistake. (Shouldn't be needed with a quality product from a reputable manufacturer, but you live an learn).

The battery died just before the warranty ...

When I bought my Philips HDD070 I had 3 priorities-
    1.Sound quality
    2. Memory
    3.Ease of use
I got my Philips HDD070 for my birthday a year ago

    Sound:
The sound quality is excellent with a bass boost that really makes a difference with a 5 set equalizer, the suppplied headphones weren't very ...

I don't use the Music Match software at all on my Philips HDD070, I use Morpheus to search for the tunes I want to download. I then launch the DMM software and plug om the player via USB. The DMM searches for tunes on the pc and then transfers to the player, it's as simple as that. Labelling the DM ...

The main problem with my Philips HDD070 MP3 player was that the software is not very good, but what you have to do is upgrade the MusicMatch software to at least version 9.0 (I think), which will allow you to put on songs you have downloaded from the internet.

When you get that out of the way and ...

I bought myself the Philips HDD070 MP3 player last Christmas as a treat to myself. The lady at the counter asked me if I wanted to take out cover on it and I declined, but she persisted and managed to persuade me to take out the three year cover at a further £30. Boy was I glad I had done th ...

The Philips HDD070 is a great MP3 player, with all the basics you need. The menu is user friendly, and well set out. All the songs are very easy to find. It also includes a built in radio if you want one.

I only had to send it back once, because it wouldn't turn on properly, but the support was ...
