I'm not sure where the SMS (Special Mail Services) Courier Postal Delivery Service sprung from but they seem to be the courier of choice when delivering credit cards and more recently my Open University material. I first became aware of them in December 2003 when they failed to deliver my Marks ...

I have had to make numerous complaints to credit card companies that I use who use SMS to deliver their cards. Companies such as Abbey have now given the contract to Royal Mail recorded delivery. Today I waited from 9am til 6.30pm for a card delivery, when I asked the courier what time he called th ...

I have never heard of SMS (Special Mail Services) Courier before I had the misfortune of them dealing with my credit card. First of all I informed them when I would be in, they seemed to ignore this and deliver on the days I wasn't in. Having phoned them, very hard to find their number, I instruc ...

SMS (Special Mail Services) Courier - I have just expected a package to be delivered at my home address. When the courier turned up, before I got down, he's gone away. The following day I made a call to book the same package to be redirected at my work address. When the courier turned up, by the ti ...

SMS delivers all UK passports. I hand delivered my application to our local passport office on Tuesday. Imagine my delight when at lunchtime the following Saturday (four days!) it arrived with an SMS courier. What a service. I have a lot of deliveries to this address but this is the first courier t ...

Today (28 Jan), I waited in until 6 in the evening, but SMS didn't deliver an HSBC credit card, as arranged. As usual, they had written a letter saying that they had previously tried to deliver on 21 Jan but I wasn't in; as it happens, I was in all that day. I have had the same bad experience with S ...

Well, you can't collect items from a depot, so for people who work away from home are stuffed. Arranging redelivery by webiste is hit and miss and the telephone service is abysmal. Why companies just don't use the tried and trusted Royal Mail is beyond me.

SMS Couriers have really tested my patience, I normally look for a positive in everything but so far I can't find anything good about SMS. They came while I was out and left the delivery note in a public area. I found it lying in the street - it had been opened. So arranged re-delivery to my work ad ...
