We booked our holiday through Virgin atlantic who in turn booked the car hire through Dollar. On arrival we needed a bigger vehicle and agreed a price with the duty manager and the dollar representative, my father paid for the upgrade on his debit card and a receipt was issued. This money was never ...

My actual rating would be no stars, but that doesn't seem to be an option.

I pre-paid a Platinum reservation for one week with Dollar and returned the car on time. Upon my return home, I was charged an extra $105.76 for Roadsafe (still don't know what this is) and Taxable TOT (also a mystery). Have ...

What a totally scummy organisation. Rude staff, and cars that are so poorly maintained we had to return 3 of them for replacements during our 1 month stay on cocoa beach. Now we are back in the UK they have charged my credit card randomly without explanation. I hope this company goes bust, because i ...

Where to start?! Best advice is don't bother. Rented car from LAX last year. Not quite a deathtrap but not far off. Exchanged in Vegas after break failure. All very polite free upgrade and 1 week rental rebate (£90).Did the same again this year. The car was better but still had issues and again ...

Booked this car through Virgin Holidays who I am glad to hear that they are changing to Alamo next year. Picked the car up at Lake Buena Vista, the car was a mess, stained seats and someone had been sick on the front passenger seat which just awful in 90 deg heat, after a heated arguement with miss ...

We opted for a mid sized SW and got a very basic Dodge Journey. Did the job but nothing great. Main moan: Guy at the Dollar Car Rental desk sold us a Sun Pass for Turnpikes ($60) saying some gates unmanned and if we passed through without the pass we risked a violantion ticket. This was untrue. All ...

After 3 months of returning home from our vacation, we have just had a 'Toll Violation charge' of $1, plus $25 'Dollar Car Rental' fee - the charge is during a period when we were not in the area of the named toll gate.
Dollar are refusing to assist us by providing any documentation and have already ...

Second time using Dollar at MCO (Orlando International) and I have to say never again.

Asked for a low milage car and was offered a Chyrsler 300 yest that will be fine. The sting: its only $6 per day (despite being on Dollars website at $3 per day, but tourists would not know this.

    The cars we wer ...
