    Stay as far away from this POS as possible. Frequent crashes of both the software and the OSX box running it. Had an interesting quirk where it would crash Photoshop CS2 every second scan causing constant relaunches. Difficult to figure out install instructions both in the manual and on screen. Trie ...

    Who is to blame - Canon or Microsoft - for the fact that no-one is able to upgrade the Scanner to work with Vista?

    See above points - Canon need to bring out a new driver for the Mac G5. The disc software AND the website softsite ware doesn't work properly.

    I'll come clean...I am the casual user of Canon LiDE 80 Flatbed, in fact it is primarily just for old photos that I use this machine but I've found this easy enough and the beauty of it lies in it's simple one touch operation.
