    The customer service is - incompetent -
    the fees - abusive -
    i would not recommend this card to anyone - they sent my daughter an application as soon as she enrolled in college - i tore it up and went with another company.

    TERRIBLE CARD, TERRIBLE SERVICE, ABUSIVE PAST DUE FEES. I pay regularly, faithfully on the first of every month, and still get past due fees. I just shredded the card!!!!! Would NEVER recommend it.

    Horrible company! BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES!!!
    Have been withthe company for years and all of a sudden not receving statements then having to call customer Service with NO HELP!! Very rude!

    I just got capital one card yesterday with $ 1000 credit limit. I activated my card and used it then I wanted to use it again but it declined.     After about three years they decided because of economic conditions they had to raise my rates. They raised them from 8.99 % to 13.99 %. A full 5 % raise. So much for a fixed rate card. Now my daughter has a Capital One card and the variable rate went from about 10 % to 17.9 %. I don't know what ...

    In October 2007 I received a mailer from Capital One that offered 0% APR for life on balance transfers.
