“An exhaust problem”

★★★★★

written by on 14/07/2013

Hi, I find the Ludix very reliable and a lot of fun but I now have a hole in the exhaust. As the studs are rusted up, is it ok to weld up while still on the bike or will it ruin the electrics? Thanks

“Fast and loud”

★★★★☆

written by on 09/08/2012

Ive owned an 05 blaster for three months now, the first thing you notice is that it's extremely loud ( I find this a positive. As it means other road users defiantly hear you). Not the most practical either but speed makes up for it-one of the most fun and fastest 50's around! Pretty reliable (Honda influences) although I had a petrol leak after a couple of weeks (after doing fifty flat out, remember they aren't designed for that so keep speed sensible if you want them to last, average life is ten years) brakes are excellent and tyres are wide enough for some leaning. Keep it inside and it'll start up nicely mine is outside with a cover on if I leave it for a weekend often needs a few kicks but starts. Light isnt impressive but it's loud enough and accelerates well enough to be safe (once de restricted). Great bike! Less practical than other scooters but heaps of fun.

written by on 20/02/2011

I've had my Ludix Blaster 58 plate for about 2 months and it has done nothing but let me down. I admit it is a very nippy bike, but what good is that if you cant get it started! Dont know a great deal about bike mechanics but it doesnt start in the cold, need to keep it warm to start otherwise have to kick it. Had 2 blockages in the fuelpipe and a list of other problems, anybody got any advice other than sell it?? Cheers.

“My moped is a Peugeot Ludix Blaster Liquid Cooled 2006 ”

★★★★☆

written by on 19/10/2010

My moped is a Peugeot Ludix Blaster Liquid Cooled 2006

This moped is a great piece of engineering, it does it's job and it does it in style. With it's nicely colourded plastics to it's tough looking radiators, it's great. My moped done about 53mph full de-restricted, but now i have put a racing exhaust on it goes 62 and can sit at 60 with no problem. I paid around £675 for mine and it's just great. The only things people might have problems with are
Headlight- very small and at a lowered angle so visibility in dark conditions is poor.
Storage space-There is s small amount for storage space, i fit a phone, wallet and set of shed keys in mine and fits snuggly.
Petrol gauge- There is a petrol indicator but it doesnt say how low you can go before you run out, when it flashes i can normally get another 15 miles out of it. But none of these above problems really affect me so they shouldnt you. It's lightweight, stylish, and i must mention, there is not any other 50cc moped or motorbike that can accelerate as this moped can, this is great for junctions and pulling out which makes it safer for the rider. I would recommend your moped to be de-restricted as i find it's much safer to be doing 50mph rather than 30mph. i know how to de-restrict it so if you want to know, just leave a comment . 4.9 out of 5, great little bike, perfect bike running around in town or city, but at the same time great for country lanes and main roads.

Fast little ped got mine for 450 and have got 65 on the flat with standard exhaust. Quick aceleration and good top speed disapointing underseat stroage but a really good ped also no fuel gauge ive run out once already but still good quick ped, also the front lights arnt very bright and cars full beam you alot but its worth it for the speed.

★★★★★

written by on 03/10/2010

used this Scooter for my cbt. Never rode one before but got the hang of it really, really easily. De-restricted it will easily do 55mph on a flat road. Very light so easy to move about on it. The only disappointment is the under seat compartment. It is so small that you can't fit anything in, also the speedometer is in-front of the handlebars so not very easy to see. Overall though a very good a bike and would recommend to anyone experienced or inexperienced.

This bike is absolutelly Awful!
Utter disaster!
I really, really wonder how some people find it ok, really, i am amazed.
It is expencive, it is too loud, it needs so much petrol( twice as more than many many other scooter, so economicaly - hell) and oil, its small and ugly, there is no petrol gauge, without a proper space for helmet or so..........
Ive get this trough the lottary and, iam going to sell it soon as possible.
And,cmon, hows buying the french cars and scooter, for christ sake??Worst industry.........
DONT BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ive had a long list of problems with mine. had it 2days and the engine packed up. the standard carb it shockingly bad. brakes, front is amazing but a drum brake on the back is a waste of time. you may aswel not have one on the back. ive had it back with a brand new engine which is a 70cc now, the piston had packed up. i donno if its just mine but it seems the 2007 models are very bad. i wouldnt have one again!

written by lipsham123 on 20/05/2010

i've had my peugeot ludix blaster for 1 and a half years now and it has been a great bike to ride about on, the only things that has gone wrong so far on it are the temprature gague was displaying the same temprature at all times which was just because of a loose wire (that was easily fixed)and the spark plug messed up after about 5,000 miles but luckily enough i was due for my first service and the problem was sorted out that same day... overall the peugeot ludix blaster has very fast acceleration compared to my mates 50cc's, top end wise i can get about 35mph restricted but when it was de-restricted i could get about 50-55mph down hill.. its been a very good bike to ride and i will be sad to see it go and i would definatly recommend this as a first bike for anyone... also i am selling my peugeot ludix blaster r-cup red and white soon and am looking for a buyer if interested send me an e-mail on [email protected] thanks.

We have had many mopeds, we are in our 40's!
This one has been a disaster from the word go.
No fuel guage!!!!
Small fuel tank, most mopeds are 5 litres at the smallest, a catalogue of problems, fuel pipe too close to something hot so kept burning out, stand rusted within 3 yrs!
Hopeless headlight if you need to go down dark lanes look elsewhere

“Peugeot Ludix Blaster RS12. ”

★★★★★

written by on 10/04/2010

Peugeot Ludix Blaster RS12.
Derestricted.

Driving this baby around for the past 3 years. and I still love it, from day 1 on. did some optic styling on it, heightened it. People loving it. Im driving the RS12 version in holland, cuz I live there (duh) and there are only 10 of these around here. wich makes it very exclusive around here. Great responses from everyone around me. People loving it. But hey, Now to my likings....The handling is great, Love to throw it sideways as much as possible. accelaretion on the RS12 is terific. Front wheel even comes loose of the ground(on a cold engine that is). The braking is great, especially the front brakes. carved disk over there. Pinch and stop ha!. anyways. Loving it. its great. if you can, and you want it. Buy it, without a doubt.

I have had my 2005 peugeot blaster for 1 day and have fallen in love with it already. this ped i bought off a friend of mine for 200 pound, the only problem is the steering lock is snapped. this ped is the quickest 50 i have riden, the speedo goes to 80km/ph and goes past, the speedo needle even goes back to the 0. im guessing this ped does around 60-80 mph and wheelies from traffic light. all that is done to it is a leo vince tt exhaust, heavier polini variator kit which is for top speed yet it still wheelies and has been de-restricted. i would recomend this bike to anyone whether they are 16 or older.
