I love my iriver, stores heaps of music and can easily be used as an external harddrive. I installed 'rockbox' as a dual boot firmware which has better sound and games and stuff, i reccomend this to any iHP-140 owner.
I fried the motherboard on mine buy charging it off an inverter in the car... woop ...

Im glad i chose the iRiver iHP-140 MP3 player over the streamline ipod very easy to use may be slightly bigger than most others but still fits nicely in pockets very good.

Note: charz10 is talking about the wrong player - he listed the memory as 1GB.

I find the iRiver iHP-140 is okay but I wouldn't recommend it to a friend.

    It blows iPod's away!!

The iRiver iHP-140 is simple to use in Windows. It does not use iTunes. The battery lasts longer than 1 hour, unlike my friends very expensive iPod, and it still looks like new, even after 3 years.

    Nothing better to match it!!

The iRiver iHP-140 is a Brilliant MP3 player! One of the best ever made in my opinion. This is aimed more towards those who like to use their MP3 collection how they want to, and not how iTunes or some other annoying peripheral software attempts to tell them. Simple drag & drop file system using nat ...

iRiver iHP-140 is a Perfect6 in every way...

More than enough memory for any music lover I have well over 300 albums on it and its so easy to navigate and the battery lasts about 14 hours... dont believe what ipod users tell you they all die in a couple of hours unlike the iriver. I dont need the ...

I've had my iRiver iHP-140 for a few months now, and its truly a great MP3 player. 40gb of disk for the price is excellent. It has more features than you can shake a stick at too - FM radio, recording via built in mic or external (supplied) mic, optical in (another recording source) and out, fully f ...

The iRiver iHP-140 is REALLY good value for money and you will not be disappointed with it. It has tons of useful features such as the tuner, recorder and its massive memory (40gb). Still, it also can play different music formats and comes with lots of options for different types of music (WOW surro ...

I have owned the Iriver iHP-140 for five months now and I don't know how I got by before buying one. I have a large collection of albums 900+ that I'm converting to MP3 for my home network/tv/hifi system, but I needed something to play my music away from home. After a little surfing I went and bough ...
