this Daisy Powerline 856 is an awesome gun for plinking and shooting. i got this gun as a christmas present in 2004 and have killed countless birds and sqirrels with it. the scope that comes with it is kind of sucky though and is impossible to sight in.
i shoot this gun with the sights on it.this gu ...

The Daisy Powerline 856 is accurate, mechanically reliable, water proofish. The reason bbs wont work right is because if yours is rifled like mine, you should fire them with that gun, it was made to use .177 cal pellets, it should never fire bbs it will mess up the gun. mine is really accurate, i t ...

For the price, I find it excellent. For teenage kids it is very convenient since it is light. Fairly accurate. Came with a 4x scope.

For the monay it's really not that bad. It does have a rifled barrel which probably helps it out quite a bit.

Great rifle overall. Excellent plinking rifle, can shoot BB's if you don't point the barrel down because they will roll out. Not very well fps but it's a fun rifle.

Very nice beginner/youth rifle. This gun was handed down to me by my father, so maybe it was better when it was new. So if you want an inexpensive, but fairly cheap quality this is for you.

In fairness to my statements, I must say I have never shot .177 pellets from this gun. That said, because of the history associated with this gun, I would not throw it away, but that is the only reason that I still have it. It is actually a danger to someone standing beside the shooter

I purchased this gun and sent it straight back! I have never had a Daisy gun before and frankly expected an American gun to be finished off a little better than this.
The gun itself seems to have plenty power but looks like something you would pick up for a kid in a local toy shop. Even the trigg ...
