We used to link to E&L a number of years ago as they paid excellent referral commission. Following a deluge of complaints about them we withdrew all links and mention of the company from our web site.

E&L Insurance are nothing but con artists. they take your money and do not tell you that you are not covered until after you have made a claim. I insured my caravan and paid extra for contents/accessories and they accepted my list of extras including my brand new awning.

E&L Caravan Insurance told me I could get my window repaired at the place where I had just bought it brand new then, two months later, said I had to go to a certain dealer to have it done. They also said my excess was doubled because I was an inexperienced tower (was in the conditions - somewhere!) ...

Tried on numerous occasions to contact claims department by e-mail & phone with absolutely no success. We actually thought the company had ceased trading at one point.Eventually cancelled the policy and took our losses.

I think We should all get together and email BBC Watchdog, as all the stories are the same. Do they ever pay any claim quickly.
If anyone interested in contacting Watchdog as I think they will sort it out. I think this is a big enough story for them.
