Overall, the NEC e228 is a good mobile phone, and good value for money. It is a bit big, and the battery has to be charged quite frequently, but it has a lot of features.

This is a good phone, but after a while you just grow to not like it. The size puts you off at first, until you see the great picture quality. The video capture is short, and bad quality. If your looking for a cheap phone, for only short term use until you can afford a better one, this could be th ...

The NEC e228 is possibly the best phone I have had, and I have had loads. I rate this above the Motorola V500, V525, V600, the Nokia 3510i, the Samsung V200 and the Sharp GX10i. I think this could only be improved by adding bluetooth and infrared. The 3 network have done well by getting NEC to make ...

Battery life of the NEC e228 is poor. Even sending messages and reading the news seems to drain the battery, and it doesn't last long on standby. With most phones if the battery runs out your phone switches off. You switch it back on and then you can text people and receive messages. Maybe talk f ...

The NEC e228 is a wonderful phone for the price and is easily better than some phones which I have payed more than three times for. The only features I felt were missing were Bluetooth, infrared and a radio but you can buy those to clip on.

The NEC E228 has great camera and video facility with easy menus to run through, certainly better than any other phone I've had before but the battery runs out too quickly, I have to charge it every other day.

Now the down side, the 3 network is rubbish it's expensive you lose your credit after 30 days and the reception is poor ...

NEC E228 - I have had the e228 for a few weeks now and I have had no problems. The camera is superb and a very good quality. The keypad takes some getting used to but don't they all? I've noticed that to lock the keypad you have to use a 4-digit password everytime you lock and unlock which is quite ...

I have had my NEC E228 2 days but have not put it down. Now the first thing you all ask size? I think this is the smallest non flip 3g phone and is like a nokia 3510 size, but is much lighter than you would think, which means it isn't very bulky in your pocket.
Next thing everyone wants to know t ...
