As bad as any other airport. Usual array of "quality goods" on sale which are cheaper in your local supermarket. Arrive as near to take off time as possible.

I was shocked when I got to Manchester airport! The traffic was chaos and the airport staff I experienced were unpleasant and the shops and eating facilities were really disappointing.

Have gone to Manchester a few more times since last review, still a nice place and I recommend it to all travelers. Clean Airport and people friendly. I still fly Air Southwest and Continental, not Northwest as I stated in my past review.

In general a busy well managed airport that seems to have taken recent security changes in its stride. The waits for luggage at terminal 1 can be frustrating but this is the oldest terminal and is due for upgrade. There is a good range of retail outlets but most are not open 24/07.
