Great sound from the Sony MDR-EX71SLB, nice fit don't ache after long time in your ears. Although they are expensive and I have got small shocks off the metal connector where to 2 cables join. Overall a good pair of headphones but cost is a bit too high.

The Sony MDR-EX71SLB headphones will sound only OK when you first use them. After a while (week or so of usage) they "burn in" and the sound quality greatly improves.

Usually I have no problems with Sony earphones. I regularly update them, once every couple of years but usually they are all fine. These earphones have an excellent sound and are also very comfy. unfortunately the plastic type coating over the wires started to fall apart. Then all you had was a bit ...

The sound quality and comfort on the Sony MDR-EX71SLB are good, but the rubber on the wires does not last. Mine have been covered in surgical tape because as it starts to go, it quickly deteriorates. I have been using mine in hot countries, but still Sony should ensure this does not happen anywhere, ...

I got the white Sony MDR-EX71SLB to replace my ipod headphones, and I must say after experiencing the sound quality, I find it torture to listen to ipod headphones; these are just so superior.
However, after six months, the wire insulation turns mushy and falls off to reveal bare wire. Also, the ...

The Sony MDR-EX71SLB are great headphones - although the bass can be a bit overpowering at times - but they don't last. I haven't been hanging the MP3 player by the headphone cable, or anything like that. Most of their useful live has consisted of going from my ears to my jacket pocket, or from my ...

I've had two pairs of the Sony MDR-EX71SLB headphones in the last nine months, and at first I was totally in awe of the sound quality - the best in-ear phones I've ever heard. But, both pairs suddenly failed in one earpiece while listening - one after 3 months and the other after 6. The insulating s ...

Sony MDR-EX71SLB: I've owned many kinds of headphones/earphones in the past. But more than a year ago I've bought a Sony MDR-EX71 and I experience it as the most comfortable I ever had and I will stick with these ones. I wear mine at the fitness centre while jogging. I have not encountered any disco ...

I have just recently bought an iPod, these Sony MDR-EX71SLB headphones are a perfect replacement. I have previously owned a pair of these headphones, and they seemed to last much longer than any other headpones. Very light-weight with wonderful bass response. 5/5.
