what value for money, i've been buying Whitworths Dried Marrowfat Peas for years. there quick and easy to make and taste delicious. i have often recommended them to family and friends. my only problem now is WHERE CAN I BUY THEM? they seem to have disappeared off the shelves of morrisons.

Whitworths Dried Marrowfat Peas has to be one of the tastiest, value for money product on the market. Unfortunately Tesco in their infinite wisdom have stopped selling them. You can only buy expensive little boxes of Bachelors - a complete waste of time.

Whitworth's marrowfat peas make great pea soup. I don't live in the UK anymore and whenever we go back to visit, or someone visits us, a few kilos of Whitworth's marrowfat peas always end up crossing the Atlantic. Lovely soup!

Economical to buy and cook. Mum in law gave me best advice on cooking : soak overnight - rinse - cover with water - add 2 tablespoons sugar and one of salt. Bring to simmer and turn off and leave to stand. Do this twice during the day before heating steadily til mushy enough, which does not take ...

With Whitworths Dried Marrowfat Peas costing 65p for a Kilogram (2.2lbs.) bag, this weight increases to almost 5lbs. after soaking overnight which makes the cost about 13p per pound.
