Owned our 32PW6515 for 5 years and had to call engineer out after 3 days for water lines on screen. Then the TV had to have a new micro processor a year later. Loud popping noise when changing channels after about 3 years. Now the tube has given up the ghost and will cost about £500 to repair ...

I bought one of these Widescreen TVs 4 years ago for £820.00, and have had nothing but problems. Within the first year the 2nd Tube had gone and yes it has gone again this month. Also minor problems within the 4 years. I would never buy another Philips TV ever. I have 17 year old Sony that ...

I bought my 32PW6515/05 on the web in June 2002, since when we've been very happy until last month when a fault developed. Now, some time after being switched on the screen will go completely bright red with oscillating lines. Recorded output to video tape is OK, so it is just the screen. On looking ...

I have this 32PW6515 for just over 2 years. It has now developed a habit of going on strikes
It sometimes refuses to start. When I switch it on, the power light lit, but the screen remain black and silent. Under normal circumstances I will hear a cracking sound (from the tube?) when the screen bec ...

I had the same problem. Just 10 months into using my Philips 32PW6515, bright red & green stripes would appear on the screen. These would normally emerge when the TV was first put on, then depending what mood it was in, it would either try and correct itself straight away or not at all. I had thi ...

I thought Philips would have solved the problems with the new model 6516. Nope. Picture curved strongly towards the center in 4:3 mode. In 16:9 chunks of picture were eaten out. And yes, there was an irritating sound when swithing channel.

After two visits to repairs picture geometrics got even w ...

I bought the TV, Brand New from an Auction house 2 weeks ago, for £250! "no that`s not a misprint" plus taxes it came to around £320. I bought it to replace a 28"W/S philips I had had for about 4 years ( I sold the 28"W/S for £250 in a private sale, Hee! Hee!.)And as for the pops a ...

I was reluctant to purchase it initially since I heard so much about this alleged humming noise. However much to my relief my set seems to be fine. There is no channel pop or interference from the subwoofer. There are several features-you can adjust the picture quality and sound using presets or ma ...

I bought my TV in May 2002 from Currys and noticed a low hum emitting from rear speakers. It was also prominent when the Sky Banner appears on screen. I've had 5 engineers out who have failed to diagnose the problem. Currys will not give me a refund or exchange - customer service very poor. I have a ...

I purchased my Philips PW6515 32" widescreen TV from PowerHouse who now want nothing to do with as they say that it is operating under manufacturers specification and their engineers say that the hum is an inherent fault with this particular model (the pop apparently is a faulty valve?)
    The reason ...
