    After 18 months, my Philips 32PW6006C widescreen TV started switching back to Ext 1, uncontrollably. I was told it would cost 200 Euros to review and replace a part!     It seems that poor tube life is a problem with Philips widescreen TV's.

    After having a 28" 4:3 Philips for 7 years with no problems at all it seemed obvious to stay with Philips when purchasing a 16:9 TV. After reading reviews on here about this model and others it seems I made a mistake.

    Funny enough the same problems have happened to our Philips 32" television as happened with the previous reviewer, after 25 months the television has started switching itself off with out reason.     Was happy with this Philips 32PW6006C 32 Widescreen TV untill two weeks ago. The set started turning itself off and with increased frequency to the point where it will not stay on at all now.

    It even gets more interesting as two relatives have similar sets, one is a 32PW6005 - same problem €400 ...
