without subscribing they send a receipt and passed the information that they will charge £4.50/ week. Once called back to check what is happening their customer service assistant ask for account details for refunding the money. My question is how can I pass my personal details to a this Company. We should blame our service providers for collecting our money for this kind of companies. It is not acceptable that by issuing pop up windows in the phone they are taking the consent of the person.

Bad customer service! I reported £18 charges on my daughters account they said it would be stopped an refunded, they didn't tell me I had another month of charges an only paid 1 which I knew of they knew there was 2 months of charges an didn't tell me! Tried to download a 'free' ringtone. When I clicked to send it to my mobile I received a message to say I had subscribed to Jamster. No download appeared and there's a limited selection on jamster web site. Complete waste of my time and money - disgusting.

Tried to download just one ringtone, and within three minutes I had received 14 texts from these con artists. At £1.50 a go that is £21 and i couldn't even get the ringtone!

My 13yo daughter received an unsolicited text from Jamster offering her a free ringtone download of 'Like a G6'. She thought it was free and accepted. Only 3 months later did I discover that she is being charged £9 every week for a 'service' that she never signed up to and never used. They hide these charges in the form of texts from 88888. Each text is charged at£1.50 and they come in three's computer generated att at the same time. 0902 hours three texts total £4.50 for Jamster Ring Tones and at 0932 hours three texts each at £1.50 total again £4.50. She is a minor she cannot legally enter into a contract without an adults signature. How is it that this company can exist. I tried to get a refund of the £100! they had taken from her account but they denied me speaking to a manager and said Finance would contact me by email. This is illegal fraud. They should be shut down and prosecuted. Do not use them!

Jamsters process is confusing, they sign you up in to a subscription service that you don't find out about until you get your monthly bill. I can download music from other mobile music websites for as little as 1.50 but these guys will sting you for a whopping 4.50.
I can honestly say I think it is disgusting that a company is allowed to get away with doing this.

I was to be charged £3 for downloading a ringtone to my phone last week. Instead, I was charged £7.50. I was told by Orange to ring them and get a refund. The lady I spoke to in the Phillipines was very rude and put the phone down on me. She could only give refund of £4.50 if I gave her credit card/debit card details over the phone. When I refused she put the phone down.

Jamster is a total rip-off. Stay away. My 11 year old purchased a ring tone thinking that was it. It wasn't till her monthly bill came in that I realised she had been conned. Six texts in one day for £1.28 each. Shame on you Jamster! Shame on you Mr Murdoch!

People be carefull of Jamster, they sent me 4 texts and took five quid of my mobile for absolutly nothing in return.

Jamster was fast at taking my money for a month-to-month plan. Able to download one tone then nothing would work. Live chat was of little help. Would not recommend with all the problems I had; spent lots of time trying to fix, to no advantage.

Don't go with Jamster unless you are really well off. Cost a fortune just for 1 ring tone, and the text msgs they charge you for reading them. Would never recommend jamster to anyone.

It's the coolest site to be on and there is not a bad word you can say about them.

I've heard that many people have had problems with Jamster, and that I can believe. On their adverts the small print does state all the applicable charges. One major point I have found is when ordering via txt82228.com (a Jamster mobile company similar to Jamster itself). The club option is for you to purchase 2 realtones for £3 a week. On Ringtoneking.com (also a Jamster mobile company), when you click on a realtone, you receive the option of 2 realtones, 10 Wallpapers AND 6 Mobile Software, meaning that clicking on different website links can offer you different amounts of club content. Also, I would like to add that the majority of the Mobile Software that I have successfully downloaded, is not at as good as it looks at all.
Finally, if you ring up customer services (as I once did) and they ask for your age and you state that you're under 16 (which I was), they say: "Sorry, you are a minor, we cannot accept calls from you, Goodbye". Customer Service is pretty poor.
I WOULD PROBABLY RECOMMEND TO A FRIEND, BUT WITH GREAT CAUTION!

I ordered a ringtone at a cost of £3 from Jamster, and the amount was deducted instantly. When it came to downloading the tone, it turned out to be an invalid file type. This was after I had checked that the particular ringtone I'd ordered was compatible with my phone, a service Jamster also provide. After the tone failed to arrive, I filled out the section on the website dealing with such problems (twice), but I got no reply either time. Of course I will never use Jamster again.

Jamster was the worst idea in the world! all the ringtones are annoying (crazy frog and sweety the chick) and you can't get away from them, everyone has them so if they're not on TV they're ringing outside!!

Jamster is wicked. They have the best ringtones going and all the rest are just imitating. The Crazy Frog is the funniest thing ever! and I love sweety chick. I can't believe people think these are annoying, they are ace and no phone is complete without them!

Jamster - When i downloaded FIFA 2005, it said it had downloaded and installed it, and when I went onto the games/applications bit on my phone, it wasn't there. When I downloaded Tony Hawk's Underground, it dowlnoaded and then said invalid file.

I completely upraise your statement and share that there is absolutely nothing we can do to prevent this bad COMPANIES. It is a shame that in this sophisticated world, even after the reported incidents, people are getting cheated.
The customer service agents are acting like we are calling to borrow money from them..... its really ridiculous
Why there is no body to be contacted to ban JAMSTER..?.
