What else can I say? Internet banking is frankly appalling - the worst banking website I have had the misfortune to encounter. Despite continued reassurances that it is going to be improved, it doesn't get any better (I am now talking about over a couple of years!).

Business online banking painfully slow or non functional. Has been like this for over a year now. I am writing this whilst waiting for my bank statement to appear. Financial Director software (used for direct debits from our customers accounts) is difficult and quirky to use. Have been using workaro ...

It's free banking.. so I guess you get what you pay for. The Business Internet Banking service is awful. It's often not available. The default statement display only shows todays transactions and the widget to set an earlier date is very slow if it works at all.
When reconciling my bank statements I ...

I am with the Co-op because of its ethical policy. I see this as paramount. The service has been good enough and efficient enough to run my business for years now. I don't have any problems with banking online. Although it says there are technical problems. I never have any. I am a small business an ...

You have to use the post office to bank cash because their branch network is so small. 70p per credit. (They closed the Guildford branch soon after I opened our account there.)
£3 month service charge. 17p/electronic credit/debit, 23p cheques. providing min balance is £1000, otherwise ...

My final straw with the Co-op banks dreadfully unreliable internet banking service came when the site was down for TWO WHOLE WEEKS in the run up to Christmas 2007. I had to resort to paying all our suppliers and contractors by cheque and apologise profusely that they wouldn't have cleared funds in t ...

Only moved because they were recommended by Federation of Small Business and free banking. Transferring my accounts (business and personal) took ages and they blamed everyone but themselves. Internet banking is often unavailable in the morning. I incurred charges because I hadn't realised transfe ...

The bad points say it all really. When I was having problems with the Co-operative Bank online banking, trying to make a BACS transfer, the support guy who was very nice, said it was better for me not to do any transfers on a Wednesday or Friday, or in the morning as everyone wants to go on then.

The Co-Operative bank may be ethically inclined, but they are not providing a good banking service. You really have to want to try and be ethical to stick with them, but at the end of the day, the service they provide, or more appropriate, didn't provide, is unethical.
