    I wouldn't recommend Butterwick Fryer. I've visited this establishment on several occasions, and whilst a bad meal can be forgiven on occasion, every time has been a disappointment for me at this establishment.     I have eaten here more than once whilst on holiday in the area, and found the food to be of an excellent quality, and the choice of food served on the menu extensive.     Butterwick Fryer - On more than one occasion, the food has smelled 'off', and seems to have a very unpleasant smell. The fish especially had a very nasty 'tar' aftertaste to it, and smell & tasted as if it had gone off.

    The proprietor was extremely rude when asked for a refund or replacement. ...
