I wish I had never bought a Motorola V50 mobile phone!

If your dad offers you his old one from 1998 for free as a favour, do YOURSELF a favour and tell him, sometimes, you HAVE TO SPEND MONEY, and this is one of those times.

3 weeks after purchasing my Motorola V50 the phone simply went dead. It took it for repairs and the logic IC had blown - fair enough. 2 months later whenever I phoned someone they could not hear me - broken microphone. I had the v50 for two yrs great in the start but you can not buy any ring tones for it and i find it has a mind of its own theres no signal for half a day then it will come back on. if you just want it for show then this phones for you

You can't hear when the phone rings the ringing tone is far too silent even when the phone is at full volume. Anyone know of where to get this problem sorted

I love this little phone. I had a V50 for a year that was unfortunately stolen, got a clumsy, heavy Nokia to replace it that I couldn't stand, then upgraded to a V50 again. It's a great phone if you don't need a color screen (be honest, who does?) and can live without backing up your address book ...
