Wilkinson - I feel that the first comment here was written many years ago and is no longer relevant to the present standard found at all the Wilkinson store in my local area (Wiltshire). It is my first choice to find the things I want if I feel they might have, in their very large range of stock.

Delivery should have been within 2 -3 days. They told me it would be delivered on tuesday between 8am and 6 pm. Item didn't turn up. I love Wilkinson and will continue to shop there for ever more for their cheap prices. I totally disagree with some of the above comments that the store is only for people on budgets, the price are always kept low so you can spend your money on other things you might need. I would like to see more DIY products on sale at Wilkinson especially paints and wallpaper. Wilkinsons has been offering the same range of wallpaper for a few years now. I would like more colours offered on emulsion paint as well.
It will be helpful if wooden planks is on offer.

I think the review from micky69 is bias and snobbish, my friends family and i all shop at wilkies, we all work hard for a living,and do not rely on handouts!

Just look through the window of any Wilkinson store and inspect the staff and customers alike. The profile of a stereotypical Wilko employee and customer has become stigmatised and very cliched. Wilkinson stores are generally open 08:30 until 18:00, but some stores in smaller towns and shopping centres tend to open at different times. To miss the crowds shop early in the morning 8:30 to 10:00 and before the store closes 16:30 to 18:00, or on a Sunday. Keep an eye out for bargains, warehouse ...

I have been to a few Wilkinson shops up and down the country and have found them to be the same, mostly rubbish items. The layout of shops is terrible, no accomodation for disabled people or wheelchairs. Staff unfriendly and some quite rude.
People on a low budget might find it useful, but the item ...

Wilkinsons is a store that sells most things for the home and garden, they have a good selection of toiletries, the quality of most things is reasonable for the low prices they charge.
