This was not a cheap holiday and then having to pay extra for basic items like a kettle and toaster was a kick in the teeth. We just got back from Club Praia Da Rocha. We loved it. The apartments were cleaned every day except weekends but who'd expect that, they need time off too. They catered for everyone young and old. They are right on the door step of the entertainment next to all the bars and restaurants

You need to remember that you are only going to get what you pay for. We had a very pleasant stay and found the staff to be generally very friendly and helpful with the exception of the cleaners who were unfriendly and did not attend to the daily cleaning as indicated. I stayed 11 consecutive weekends in 2008 with different companies at the Hotel "Clube Praia Da Rocha" Portimao Algarve Portugal, and there needs to be a complaint and a negative review made about this place, it should not be classed as a three star.

I would recommend this hotel as it is cheap and well worth what you pay. It does not deserve some of the reviews it has had although maybe they have improved after bad publicity.
