I drive a 1987 924S. the design for the old 924's is VW but 924S is Porsche. Its a 924 body over a PORSCHE 944 drive train. I love my car. gotta fix up some stuffs like the sunroof and headlight motor and paint but still it gets people's attention in a positive way. I plan to change the body a bit.

I'm a 20 year old trainee electrician and I fancied a cheap sports car that looked good and goes pretty well I started by looking at Toyota mr2's then i fancied a bmw 325i but only found abused high milers so I turned my attention to hot hatches and after driving several Saxo vtr's and MG zr's I re ...

My Porsche 928 had been in a minor front-end collision, and was bought by a friend of mine who had intended to restore it. His circumstances changed, so it sat idle under a tree for three years gathering dirt and mould. I took pity on it and took it on as a running restoration project. It took ages ...

Fantastic timeless classic. Rustproof body and chassis; engine good for 200K miles+, with a bit of care. Fuel consumption not too bad, if you don,t red line it too often! Very easy to drive in town and even makes motorway driving enjoyable. Very cheap insurance (£120 a year fully comp on 1,500 ...

A great car which my wife refers to as her "old banger" but I can't see her parting with it unless something really drastic happens.
As I said, it's very difficult to find an equivalent type of sports car with enough space to comfortably carry a large golf bag and trolley (plus, on occasions, her f ...

Cant fault the Porsche 924 2.5s. I went from a MK2 Golf GTI to this which is cheaper to insure and faster. It's reliable, keeps up with most modern day hot hatches, stands out from the norm. It has leccy windows PAS leccy roof and can remove it. Has heated leccy mirrors. For a car of this age, g ...

Getting old now and very collectable as the Porsche 924S is upgradeable and with modern engine rebuilds for a fairly resonable price. When your 924S is in need of such work 400bhp is available but get the brakes done first.

This review is based on a 1981 Porsche 924 lux Sports Car which I owned from 1988 to 1999. The car was passed on to my father who still drives it today.
History. (Hey, it's not a real Porsche!)
The 924 was never intended to be a Porsche but was meant to be an Audi.
Back in the 70's Audi was a ...

I've owned my '88 Porsche 924 2.5s sports car with the 2.5L engine for 3 years and 35,000 miles without a problem. This thing is fun & seems bullet-proof. It loves to run all day, is comfortable & gets 33 MPG on the highway. Well engineered & built to last a long time. I would definitely buy anoth ...

Porsche only ever made the 924 with a 2.0 and a 2.5s engine, I had the 1986 Porsche 924 2.5 'S' for 4 years and it was a fantastic car, if you fancy standing out and making a monkey of Japanese hot hatch's buy one.
