We have thoroughly enjoyed owning our 3.0SE, which we used to replace an Audi A6. It is thoroughly relaxing to drive, but capable of being quick enough if you want it to be. I have had to do nothing more than regular servicing in 18000 miles, and it now have 71000 on it, and feels as tight as new. ...

I have been delighted with the car from day 1, i have had it serviced every year as recommended and the car has proved to be a totaly luxurious vehicle to own and drive with no mechanical problems ither than a hose that needed rapl ...

I have had my Jaguar S Type 3.0 for three years and I wish I had never laid eyes on it ! Yes, when it works, it's a dream to drive, comfortable but I could never say reliable! I wonder, everytime I go out to it, what will be wrong today? So far it has probably cost around £3,000 in repairs and ...

Had my Jaguar S Type for 18 months, engine check light comes on at random, had it knocked out twice at 50 quid a go both times cruise control which it hasn't even got. Now I ignore it, wipers seized up sprayed copious amounts of wd 40 down side of splined arms that come out the bulkhead and then dra ...

The Jaguar S-Type is an excellent car. It is for those who seek refinement. With this car however, whenever you want to get sports-car performance, all you do is press the sports button and the car transforms itself into a thrilling race machine. Its a fun car to drive everyday, very comfortable, lu ...

I have owned my 2004 (53plate) Jaguar S Type 3.0 V6 SE for 18 months. I am dissapointed in the car due to the issues I have experienced. Overall I love the car but my frustrations are directly with the dealership. I cannot drive the car after it has been raining as I get a restricted performance war ...

Had my Jag (3.0 SE. 2000) for 2 years now and still love it to bits. Comfort, style and power are the trade marks of Jags and the S Type does not fail in any area. I get 32mpg on motorways doing a constant 80mph, around town 19-22mpg. Do not buy a car with 240 bhp and moan about the petrol consumpt ...

Overall I like jaguar better than BMW even mercedes, you can compare the s-type with SL500 mercedes, and it does go to 60MPH in 6 seconds.

As I have said above love the Jaguar, is there really a perfect car out there? Surely all cars have some faults?

The Jaguar S Type is an excellent car and I would buy another one but as Jaguar are about to stop making them I have put down a refundable deposit on an XF, if I decide not to go for an XF (unlikely) then I would certainly go for a newer second hand S-Type, although to reduce the risk of expensive r ...
