Our dog had been insured for 8 years. Unfortunately my policy was renewed on 27 Jan but retriever was diagnosed with a tumour in his stomach and there was no positive outcome resulting with him being put to sleep. Even though the policy was quite expensive we had insured him with the kennel club s ...

We bought our Shar pei puppy at 8 weeks old. The breeder told us he had a chest infection at 2 weeks but it was cleared up with antibiotics in no time. One the first day we took him to the vets for worming and a check up, becuase of noisy breathing. Vet said that was usual for the breed. Overnight h ...

We took the 6 weeks free that was offered with a puppy which fell ill shortly afterwards. The puppy lived until it was 19 weeks - we got it at 8 weeks, got 6 weeks free and then had it for 5 weeks under the 'paid' insurance. They deduct the whole year's premium from the payout - plus £50 - pl ...

I was keen to insure my pets with the Kennel Club - I liked their values and felt I would get an excellent service.
As other pet owners have identified, I object to having to pay 10% of all vet fees as well as pay a £50 excess. I have cancelled both my policies.
I have decided to pay the &p ...

I was obliged to take out this expensive policy due to the fact that my puppy became lame during the 6 week free period. The Kennel Club are slow to pay, I kept getting fobbed off with 'it's being dealt with'. I don't beleive that they should be able to contact the breeder to verify claims either as ...

We have our golden retriever insured by them for just under 7 years. We have good service but the premium just keeps increasing. It was fair value at the time and since it's "the" kennel club, I did not look much further (my fault!). And then they suddenly introduce the extra 10% of the claim amount ...

I set up a payment to them. They say that the payment wasn't received in May 2006 due to a change of card. The card was changed in March 2006, but payment was given in March and April through this new card, but not in May apparently. No letters have been received, and they didn't phone me, even thou ...

In my case, my dog has had over £4,000 of vet and specialist fees, so I was glad to have The Kennel Club pet insurance policy. It is a lot more per year than other policies, and I'm not sure there is any advantage, but I have always had good service when I have telephoned and you can download ...

Although The Kennel Club Pet Insurance is an expensive policy, I've been with them for 4 years - it covers the dog for LIFE. Their correspondence is efficient, and I receive my renewal notices on time without fault.

The Kennel Club Pet Insurance excess is £50 plus 10% of cost of vets fees. I bought this on the false assumption that the Kennel Club would offer good quality insurance. Last year my dog was referred to a behaviourist. I then discovered that this was one of the few insurers who would not pa ...
