    I insured a rescued 6 year old cat for the top gold plan for life insurance in Dec 2008 from Pet Plan UK. I asked about whether this was increased as in 10 years time £6,000 would be nothing and was told no, no increase for inflation. I took it out anyway, then my cat had a major op in Jan 0 ...

    Pet Plan UK excessive premiums applied to pets - means poor value for money. Shop around for a much better deal!

    My dog is only 14 months old,my 1st years premium was £26 per month,now the renewal is in for the forthcoming year it has gone to £34 per month,and the excess has risen aswell,seems like once you are with Pet Plan Uk they have you over a barrel if you want to continue

    Pet Plan UK Pet Insurance Staff reasonably helpful when calling to enquire about things and were prompt paying out when I made a claim, however large excesses and huge increases in monthly payment each year.

    This total lack of customer service of any quality continued for three months during which time my horse suffered an related episode of colic and due to her other problems was euthanaised.

    You can not contact anybody directly on the 'customer compliants' number, instead you have to leave a message and wait for them to call you back.

    I took out the top level Petplan UK insurance and had it for a couple of years.     Having once been a little slow settling claims, Petplan have gone sharply downhill of late.
