I'm not a pro, but I have owned and used this camera since 2003. With at least 300 rolls under its belt, this camera has performed outstandingly. Metering and shutter speeds remain dead on. For the price, I am buying a second F80 body... and this is Dec 2009! Another thing I must stress is the body' ...

This Nikon F80 is an excellent camera at an affordable price... Good examples on the secondhand market as they are robust cameras that are usually owned by people that love and care for them.
If you see one come-up and you're even half-interested then grab it... you won't regret it!

The Nikon F80 is a very user friendly 35mm SLR camera. I am not a professional photographer, but photography is my hobby. I liked all the functions about this camera.

For those who dream of a Nikon F100 but are unable to afford the price tag, the F80 is the next best thing. Having many features of its higher priced brother, the F80 performs over and beyond.
