Requested a new cheque book for current account at least 5 times through Yorkshire bank call centre and once in branch. Was told they would ring which never happened and never received one. Very poor customer service as branch cannot be contacted direct by phone. Would not recommend as a bank.

I no longer risk having an overdraft with them and have run in credit for 3 years or so. They are not a reliable partner in business and to have to call Glasgow even on rare oc ...

They made all the staff in Yorkshire redundant and then left them to run business banking for a couple of months knowing they were going. Since then they seem to have ...

All in all a good bank for general services e.g current accounts, internet banking and customer service. Just a pity that it seems thin on the ground for local branches in my area. I found it pays to shop around around for personal loans and credit cards though, as I have found that even though I ha ...

Been with Yorkshire Bank 10 years and up to about 18 months ago, had a mostly hassle free service. However, elements of poor customer service have started to surface and I'm really unhappy with the service I am now receiving.

I have banked with Yorkshire Bank for approximately 16 years. The once friendly, flexible, prompt customer service of Yorkshire Bank is now a thing of the past. Their methods are dated, their customer service non-existent and their staff are very unhelpful. I can only assume they are doing exception ...

I have banked with the Yorkshire Bank for 15 years with no problems, until that is I had a few bad months and went over my o/d limit. On the letters they said if you need any help to call them. Help - Don't make me laugh! Even though my salary was paid in every month they decided that it would be a ...

I have been a customer with Yorkshire Bank for many years. This year in April I made an offer for a flat and contacted YB in order to take up a rapid repay mortgage. Four months later, after numerous telephone calls via the annoying electronic voice at the contact centre, four written letters (and s ...

I cannot believe how they have become so distant from the reality of the market place i.e. competition. As a customer of long standing, who has never given them any problems, I expected better. Perhaps if I had been a `cash cow` i.e. in debt to them credit card / mortgage the attitude would have bee ...
