Be careful with their overdraft facilities as they will punish you severely within an AGREED Overdraft!
Halifax we're recently on 'watchdog' for being the crocks that they are:

I don't feel that Halifax should get any stars at all but you unfortunately have to give them something.

Arrogant nasty staff, I have 2 accounts both with money coming in and a mortgage which has never been in arrears with them. Charging me £99 in total for going over my limit for half a day! Then staff tell me that if it had happened in december then I would only get charged a few quid! As soon ...

After recieving my mail through the post yesterday I am getting well rid of my halifax account. How can they justify there new overdraft charges. I know its thier money but still its rediculous. Im leaving asap

I have been with the Halifax since I was 18 and this was only because it was the nearest bank that I went to. My husband and I now have 3 accounts with them.

After havin been a customer with the Halifax for 19years i am looking to change banks because of this awfull overdraft charge of 1pound a day, at the end of the month having that bit to bounce back on can be very handy! not happy!!

My Mum attempted to pay some money into my account on Saturday at the counter and was refused as the Halifax do not take third party payments over the counter and was force to used the deposit box. The money paid in has gone missing, and as she forgot to tear the receipt off of the deposit envelope ...

I came to Halifax after facing loads of financial problems and thought the Halifax account would be great for me to get back on track. Guess i made the worst decision in my banking history ever. Within a year i've ended up paying more than £500 on bank charges only!!!!! Guess thats great news ...

Halifax once used to actually be a good bank but what has happend in recent times i mean you cant make use of your overdraft without being charged, I mean £1 pound a day to even be in your overdraft and also paying interest is rediculous what if you dont have the funds to even pay the £1 ...
