The Globe Mojo are really awesome shoes to buy and own, aside from the Chet Thomas and Rodney Mullen Globes.
Instead of getting Vans, which rip up easily, get these Globes, they are winners.

I have had these Globe Mojo shoes for three months and skated in them all the time because I do not have any other skating in shoes. I got all white ones with red sole and they look awesome when they rip!

Globe Mojo Skate Shoes: I have owned 4 pairs of mojo's and these are the best skate shoes ever. They are comfortable and reliable and come in a range of colours. I am constantly kickflipping and abrasion does show but they last around 5 months and are a great buy.

Ii had these shoes after my CT-IVs and Etnies cullicut, and they are the best off them all, best looking. Most comfy and are overall the best in the world, buy them over all the shoes out there, just have brought a third pair. Great for skating.
