we have had our Border Terrier "Tally" for twelve years - we love her to bits. She is a great guard dog, brilliant friend to all, great with kids and never nasty. I studied lots of breeds over a period of two years before I decided on a Border Terrier and I am glad that we did.

Border terriers make an absolutely ideal pet. Excellent all round dogs. They are fun loving and very very social. Great with children and other dogs. My dog is great with farm animals and will not chase them. Tend to avoid muddy puddles preferring to walk around rather than in. These dogs like atten ...

Scout is 10 months and we have had him since he was 12 weeks. Our previous dog, a cocker spaniel, passed away a year ago. Scout is a really fantastic dog and has become a really important part of the family. A real character and great fun, loveable but independent minded as well. He will go off ...

We had a border for 6 months before he had an accident and passed away, but within the 4 months we had him around, it left me devastated to lose him!
Although tricky to train at first, providing you use a firm voice (and a not so firm hand due to their size, as i discovered after trainign my borde ...

Excellent with our children and loves to play and be part of their circle of friends. Obedient to a point but she is only seven mon ...

In my opinion this breed is the perfect dog for a young family. Posy only ever went to the vets twice, the 2nd was to be put to sleep. No expensive vets bills. They are so clever that training the is easy.

Rather annoying little hound jumps up at visitors constantly jumping up on the sofa when we have guests round. The only reason we have this dog is because we are looking after it for some one who is having a hip operation.I will stick to my good old collies in future!
