I have a 02 Kawasaki KX 500 and after taking my time tuning the bike I must say it is one of the easiest of the big bore dirt bikes one can ride. IMO That is if you can control your wrist. After adjusting the KIPS valve, gnarly pipe, and re jetting the carb; this bike can be very manageable. Sm ...

This machine is a pretty good bike in my opinion, but with its amazing powerband it can get to be hard to ride without having to hold on for your life witch isn't always a good thing.

I have owned two KX500s. The first was a 1997 and now have had a 2001 since it was new. Both bikes were very reliable and extremely fast. I have raced it against everything from cr's yz's several ktm's, a friends old RM500, and even several street bikes that also included a ninja in a 1 block race a ...

I own a 2002 Kawasaki KX500. Ask old school motocrossers about the KX500. The KX500 is an awesome machine. Great for tracks or trails depending on how its setup. A bigbore 2-stroke cannot be ridden like a 4-popper. To be good on a KX500, requires throttle discipline and clutch mastery. You have to ...

The KX500 is a ugly, and outdated (personal opinion). The steering and suspension is average and the ergonomics aren't the greatest. But it you cant scratch that power itch with your 250 or 450, the 500 is the answer. Relentless torque and easy power wheelies is what you are looking at.I have had a ...
